Dodge Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Good evening and welcome to JustAnswer!!My name is ***** ***** I have worked for a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership for 19 years and I will do my best to help.
Do you know what codes are setting and if the shop is able to communicate with the Central Timer Module(CTM)? The CTM controls the door locks and the security and fails often.. Ask the shop to check the CTM..
Codes in the CTM will not trigger a check engine light.. You will need a scantool and not a cheap code reader to retrieve the codes.. If your not able to communicate with the CTM then it's locked up and it will need to be replaced.. You can try a 10 min battery disconnect but if that doesn't help then it will need to be replaced...
Did they check the CTM and if they can communicate with the CTM then go into DATA and look at Security and see if it says "Ok to start" or not...
You are very welcome...
