YES, this noise you are hearing is likley a faulty wheel bearing. This is very common. Just be sure the tires are in good shape and not chopped causing a road noise while going down the road. Also, be sure to check the axles/u joints in front if it is 4wd. If all checks out good, replace the wheel bearing in the left front.
