Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

This is most likely happening because of a steering column module LIN bus issue. The problem may be the module, a loss of power or ground, wiring, or a switch issue.

It's going to take some electrical testing to determine what is going on which will require a scan tool, digital voltmeter and removal of the airbag at the least. Is the truck no longer under basic warranty for some reason?
