I have a 2011 dodgebram 1500...have not had any problems

Customer Question

I have a 2011 dodgebram 1500...have not had any problems untill this last cold spell. Had the battery tested and was told it was fine. I've had to jump it about 10 times untill it wouldn't jump anymore. Put a new battery on it and it started fine yesterday and this morning. Just left work and it wouldn't start again....just clicking over and over.
JA: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?
Customer: 3 weeks...not sure where the noise is coming from.
JA: What is the model of your '11 Dodge?
Customer: 1500 sport 5.7l hemi
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: changed the battery
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I read that you can put it in neutral and it will start but that didnt work for me.

Good evening and welcome to JustAnswer!!

My name is ***** ***** I have worked for a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership for 19 years and I will do my best to help.

So right now it won't start and the starter is clicking? If yes then you will need to have a jump start to get it to start and once you do we need to test the battery when running to make sure you have 14v+ at the battery posts to ensure the alternator is working..

Post the results so we can continue,

Yes I understand that but it sounds like it's dead and I need for you to tell me what the voltage is and if it will start when you jumpstart it..
