No connection on ground wire to radio harness, I had bought

Customer Question

No connection on ground wire to radio harness
JA: Is this an aftermarket stereo, or did it come with the car?
Customer: I had bought a aftermarket radio, bought the adapter and connected it to the main harness and still wouldn't work. So I have two trucks. The one I'm working on is a 2001 dodge ram 1500, 2wd. My other truck is a 1998 dodge dakota 4wd. Same wiring so I cut a harness off my new truck to fit my old one. It didn't work. So now I have zero connection on ground and my illumination lights won't turn on.
JA: Are you fixing your Ram 1500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Checking fuses, in the cab and in engine bay.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Is this free?
JA: The Dodge mechanic's require payment for their services. It's way less expensive on JustAnswer than face-to-face would cost.
Customer: How much is the payment?
