I need to replace the oil pump, about 3 months ago, 2003 Ram

Customer Question

I need to replace the oil pump
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: about 3 months ago
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 2003 Ram Truck V-8
JA: Are you fixing your Ram yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I took it to a mechanic and his dodge guy started the job, but he passed away and the owner has told me that he has not been able to find anyone.
JA: What year is your '03 Ram?
Customer: 2003
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Is this something I can do.

I just want to know if this is something I should try to do or look for another guy.

2WD is not that bad. Can you give me the 8th digit of the VIN so I can give you some more detailed info?

The book time pays 3.0 hrs. But the instructions require you to loosen the engine mounts and lift the engine. Here are the R&R instructions.

Remember if you rate me we can still continue the discussion. Five star please.

Just depends on the tools you have and if you feel you can do the job.
