Just replaced the alternator (1995 B3500 roadtrek class rv

Customer Question

Just replaced the alternator (1995 B3500 roadtrek class B rv with the 5.9L) and still not charging. Quick-charge the battery, start the engine and watch the voltage drop from ~13v to 8 or so when the engine dies
JA: Have you checked the voltage with the engine running?
Customer: only at the battery, not at the alternator
JA: What year is your B3500?
Customer: 1995
JA: Are you fixing your B3500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, I've just replaced the alternator
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: that's about it, thank you

Do you have voltage to the big wire at the alternator with the key off?
