Customer Question

My employee has a 98 that won't crank over. There is a flashing red light at the bottom of the dash to the right of the driver he says has never flashed before. I'm thinking alarm. ??
JA: What confuses you?
Customer: Is it the alarm and how do I defeat it ?
JA: Have you checked the battery's voltage?
Customer: Battery voltage is 13.1.
JA: Are you fixing your 98 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It is sitting in front of my business and he is going to have it towed after work today. I'm just making sure it isn't something simple/stupid we could have caught before he incurs added expense.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No
