JA: Have you checked the bulbs? Have you checked the connection?
Customer: bulbs are good.check connection where?
JA: What is the model/year of your Dodge?
Customer: 2005 ram 1500
JA: Are you fixing your Ram 1500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes. I have checked fuse with ohmeter. I checked for voltage at fuse terminal. I swapped relays.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I checked relay socket with test light. 2 terminals are hot. one terminal is ground. fourth terminal not hot with light switch on.

on the relay, where 86 is at we need to know if we are getting ground with the light switch on.

85 and 30 share the same power from fuse 15 for the relay control and also the power source for the parking and tail lights, then once ground is achieved at 86 the relay closes and allows power to 87 that flows through fuse 34 to the rear lights and the front parking lights.
