Hello and welcome! My name isCustomerand I can assist you with your question.
If at any point during this conversation you would like to speak on the phone, feel free to request a phone call on your end and I will call you right away. Or simply let me know and I can get the process going.
Can I start by getting the codes in the computer and your VIN?
So the engine starts and runs correct? Do these relays click when the engine is off or when the engine is running?
Thank you for that information. What was replaced for this already besides the relays? Was the PCM replaced?
Ok no problem. I can get you the PCM part number if you provide me with your engine size.
Another possible cause would be a shorted out camshaft position sensor. It can short out pulling the PCM off line. If that checks out good, I would suspect a bad PCM.
Ok, one minute.. let me check
Ok, the part number for the computer on this vehicle (non flex fuel with federal emissions) is R5127680AA
Provided the inputs are good to the computer when this happens and the reference voltage is not shorting out, the computer is bad and will need to be replaced.
Did you pull that code from the instrument cluster?
I dont have a listing for that code. It should be a "P" code. For example, P0300 or P0420
Ok, thank you for that information. I dont have a listing for any of those codes. You may be able to get your computer scanned for codes for free at your local auto parts store. But based on experience, this problem is most likley a bad PCM. Or course I would check the inputs to the computer before replacing it.
