I have a 2012 ram 1500 recently changed all coils and spark

Customer Question

I have a 2012 ram 1500 recently changed all coils and spark plugs. After doing so under hard acceleration only I get I a cylinder 3 misfire. Checked coil with ohm meter checked spark plugs even swapped to a different cylinder. Still cylinder 3 misfire only under hard acceleration. Hooked up scan tool watched all cylinders and under heavy acceleration it drops cylinder 3 injector. I changed cylinder 3 injector with cylinder 2 along with coil and plugs but still continues to drop number 3. At this point I'm completely lost can you help?

If you're sure that it's the injector falling out on you, that may be a problem with the computer when it sees a certain load and RPM. It is odd, but there also may be a flash update that will cure that too.

Any dealer service department can tell you that over the phone too.

Thanks, Ron
