Hello and welcome to just answer. A flashing rear defrost light indicates either a failed HVAC control head, or one that needs calibration. These are self calibrating. Try this: Disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then reconnect it. Then start the engine and let it run. If the control head is ok, then the light should flash for a few minutes and then stop. If it does not, then the HVAC control head will need to be replaced.
