Hi there.

Are the ASD and fuel pump relays being energized when the ignition is turned on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Relays Are
Expert:  Juan Crespo replied 1 year ago.

OK. So there is fuel pressure, just not spark or injector pulse? Is the security system armed?

Expert:  Juan Crespo replied 1 year ago.

Does the tachometer needle move as the engine is being cranked by the starter?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sorry the friend working on my truck misunderstood when i asked him about the relays, he said they are good, but can't tell if they are energized
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There is no fuel pressure

I can only provide you with technical guidance; whoever is helping you would have to have tools and mechanical skills. Is that not the case?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
He is capable, just retired as a mechanic for the forest service.
Expert:  Juan Crespo replied 1 year ago.

I'm sorry, but the fact that you stated he can't tell whether or not a relay has been energized makes me doubt his ability to follow my instructions, so I’ll opt out so other experts may try to help. Please do not reply until another expert responds or the site will cycle this request back to me.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

It doesn't appear that the PCM is awake, which could be an internal failure or a loss of power or ground to it.

The fuel gauge and voltmeter don't come up when the key is turned on, correct?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
They do not
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 1 year ago.

That's what I expected. That also indicates the PCM isn't awake.

If fuses are good then the next step will be to test the PCM powers and grounds as well as test the 5v reference circuits for a short to ground, and the sensor ground circuit for a short to voltage. If all is found to be ok then the PCM can be condemned.
