I have a 2005 Ddge Grand Caravan and it has started beeping.

Customer Question

I have a 2005 Ddge Grand Caravan and it has started beeping. Thought it might be the lights, but that doesn't seem to be it. It beeped when the car was off, and I approached the rear hatch. Could it be low battery in the key?
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: Don't know. Is that one of the reasons?
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: If it is simple, like a key or car battery,
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: At first it was just a beep, perhaps every 2 minutes. Now it is a two toned beep.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Dodge Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There isn't much that can make a beeping noise on the van. The one thing that comes to mind is the chime for the power liftgate. If it is sounding on it's own then most likely you have a bad liftgate module.

Can you tell what area of the van the noise is coming from?
