Crank no start, sounds like no fuel, I am reading 10.5 volts

Customer Question

Crank no start, sounds like no fuel
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: I am reading 10.5 volts at the fuel pump harness, is that within tolerance for it to run?
JA: What is the model/year of your Dodge?
Customer: 01 dodge dakota
JA: What year is your Dakota?
Customer: 2001
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I was hoping to fix myself, I checked voltage at the fuel pump harness. Getting a "NO BUSS" code
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The problem was intermittent at first would start run for a short time and die, now won't start at all
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Dodge Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.

What is the number of the code you are getting?

Will it run off starting fluid?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
CODE IS NO BUSS, have not tried starting fluid
Expert:  Wayne Crawford replied 1 year ago.

Theres no such code.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I looked it up on line means no signal from pcm so it does in fact show up on odometer
Expert:  Wayne Crawford replied 1 year ago.

That isnt a code. Thats an error message.

So you dont have the codes? And I assume you dont have a scan tool at all?

Are you willing to do some testing? Theres 20 things that could cause your exact same symptom of a "NO BUSS" message showing up in the odometer. Without testing I cant tell you which is your problem.
