Customer Question

I have a 2010 dodge journey and the ac is not working
JA: How is the air flow? Have you checked the hoses?
Customer: the air flow is fine, it only blows out hot air though
JA: Tell me a bit more about what's going on so he can help you best.
Customer: the ac worked fine one day and then it just went out. The heat works great but the ac does not blow out cold air at all
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: yes if possible
JA: Great! What have you tried so far?
Customer: I tried to find the point to put in freon but it did not work out
JA: Is there anything else the Dodge Mechanic should be aware of about your Dodge?
Customer: sometimes the radio goes out and I am unable to lock the doors or even roll down the windows when it does
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Dodge Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are many things that could be causing the a/c to not work and it will most likely take some electrical testing to determine what is wrong. You may have a bad pressure transducer, control head, it could be a TIPM issue, wiring, a bad clutch coil, or the system may be undercharged enough to prevent the compressor from engaging.

What is the static pressure in the system?
