My 2002 Cummings 2500 does not have any electrical power

Customer Question

My 2002 Cummings 2500 does not have any electrical power after the batteries went dead and have been recharged.. No dome lights, no headlights, no instrument panel, nothing comes on when the key is turned on. Any ideas?

I can try to assist you with this .

do you have a test light or DVM ? have a look at the illustration . The 6 gauge wire ( cable ) from the driver side battery connects to the supply stud on the TICM under the hood . It appears that there is a problem with that or you have lost the engine/frame ground . The batteries will each separately power a test light ?

I have both a test light and DVM.. both batteries are being charged while disconnected. One 5.9 volts the other 4.2 volts before charging.

okay so you will need to get them charged fully to 12 volts
