Customer Question

got dtc 0404 replaced egr valve, cleared egr/intake tube and ran seafoam chemical cleaning on 2008 Chrysler 3.8l t&c minivan. Still get check engine light and dtc 0404. Have cleared code with scanner about 10 times and usually get 50-100 mile before engine light with dtc 0404 comes back on.

Hello, my name is***** is programming available for this problem, considering you have already done everything else related it sounds like PCM needs to be reprogrammed. Here is the TSB for problem, let me know if you have more questions. Thanks.

Dan, Upon receiving your recommended solution to my problem, I took the car to the Chrysler dealership on May 31, 2016 and had them do a software flash for the PCM as you recommended. I will have to drive the car for a few days before I will know if your recommended solution worked. Normally, after I clear the check engine light for DTC 0404 with my scanner, I have to drive the car for a couple of days before the check engine light comes on again. I will monitor this closely and let you know by Friday, June 3rd. Thanks for your help and I hope your solution works. GB
