What engine do you have and what codes are setting in the TCM?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
4.7 liter flex fuel
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
not sure what codes
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
thought I might run by and get a tester to see if codes are apparent

Since you have the 4.7 engine then you have a 45RFE transmission.. The very first step in repairing this issue will be to have the codes read to see what's going on.. A harsh downshift usually leads to excessive CVI which is clutch volume index which results in bad clutches or seals.. But again to see what's going on you will need a scantool, and once you have the codes post them here so I can help you get it fixed..
