Customer Question

2006 dodge 3500 over heating today let it cool off and running about 200 degrees only does this when pulling horse trailer
JA: Tell me a bit more about what's going on so he can help you best.
Customer: Well pickup runs about 200 degrees just driving it under normal conditions but when we hook up to trailer it gets up 245 degrees then we let it cool down go a little. Ways and does it again.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: Probably not my son took it back to college with him getting Ready for rodeo season to get started.
JA: Is there anything else the Dodge Mechanic should be aware of about your Dodge?
Customer: Yes we are having issues with trailer lights, we have no turn signal or brake lights all fuses are good checked them all out.
JA: I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Dodge Mechanic about your situation and connect you two.

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose). I normally log in after 3 pm central. Please make sure to let me know exactly what is needed from me so I can provide EXCELLENT 5 STAR service.

  1. I assume you have the 5.9 diesel?
  2. Does this overheat concern only occur when pulling hard?
  3. Guesstimate what does the loaded trailer weigh?
  4. Does it occur on flat ground or hills?
  5. Have you done anything so far?
