I'm having a starter issue with my 1996 dodge ram 1500

Customer Question

Customer: I'm having a starter issue with my 1996 dodge ram 1500
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: Yes, my name is ***** ***** a burnt batter cable, so I attempted replacing, but terminals on the top of the starter were bad, so I ended up replacing the starter. I wired everything back up, and when I turn the key, I get lights on the dash, but the starter will not turn over. When I pull the starter relay, and jump across the terminals, it starts just fine...
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $18) to post your type of question to Dodge Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?
Customer: Yes, I can.
JA: OK. Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.
