Dodge Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi there. Thank you for using our service.
Sounds like the crank position sensor (CKP) has failed. If PCM does not sense input from the CKP, PCM will deactivate ASD and fuel pump relay, interrupting voltage to fuel pump, fuel injectors, and ignition coil, causing a no start condition.
At the shop, we have found it best to remove the EGR valve and pipe and the Oil Pressure switch to gain easy access to the CKP. See attached graphic showing CKP location on the transmission bell housing.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. Best Regards.
