Customer Question

I have a 6.7Cummins engine in a 2500 dodge ram and I was wondering if I have a problem with it. When you start the truck the volt meter shows discharge until you get moving then it goes to charge or above the 14 volt, it stays there as long as it is running

Good morning and welcome to JustAnswer!!

Was the battery dead when you started the vehicle? Is the check engine light on? Or are you just seeing the voltage drop for 30 seconds then go back to normal then drop again? What temperature was it this morning in your area? It could be a normal operation of the grid heater..
