The later model vehicles are Fly-By-Wire which means they don't have a cable from the accelerator pedal to the throttlebody but rather is electronically controlled.. If you have the lightning bolt symbol you will need to check and see what codes are on the PCM and then run the diagnostic test for each code to determine the issue..
