My 1999 Dodge Passenger Van stops running after 10-15

Customer Question

My 1999 Dodge Passenger Van stops running after 10-15 minutes. When this occurs, i do not have a spark. After a few minutes, it will start but it will die again shortly period of time. I have replaced the coil and distributor. I seems to me that the ECM is failing but I would like to be sure before I replace it. Is there a test that can be done to determine if the ECM is the problem?

Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.

Do you have a scan tool?

And have you checked for an injector pulse while it wont start?

I have a scan tool. The only trouble code it has indicates the vapor pump is failing. The injectors have a signal during the starting process. I have a spark tester that I connect to the coil once it fails. There is no spark coming from the coil when the engine is cranked over.

Is there an injector pulse during cranking when it doesnt start?

When it doesnt start will your scan tool connect to the vehicle?
