Customer Question

I have a 2004 dodge 2500 4x4 6speed 5.9 cummins diesel. When driving the volt meter crashes to -8. The truck continues to run on battery power but slowly drains the battery. Have replaced the Alt. and the integrated power module. None of the other systems seem to be effected when this happens

Hello and welcome to just answer. The PCM or ECM (depending on the truck's build date) contains the voltage regulator for the charging system. Does your truck have a PCM mounted to the right side of the fire wall under the hood?
