It sounds like either the exhaust is restricted, the security key system is acting up, the throttle position sensor, or the MAP sensor. Here are the basics to check each of these:

1. Check the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Baro readings, about 4.5 volts is seen at sea level.

2. Throttle Position Sensor for WOT, less than 1 volt with the throttle closed and about 3.5 volts at Wide Open Throttle. Voltage about 3 volts cuts Injector Pulse during cranking.

3. Using a compatible scan tool, check Alarm status. The scan tool data might say Fuel on/off or Allowed/disallow. If the vehicle is not equipped with an alarm system, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is bad.

4. Then check for a clogged exhaust system.
