Customer Question

I bought a 2008 Dodge Caravan SE today at a auto auction. My oil light stays on even if I add oil to the "safe" level. Could I have a bad oil sensor?

it is possible but you need to do a manual oil pressure test. remove the sender and insert a gauge and measure the exact pressure. the fact that it is at an auction may indicate this is the reason it went to auction.

you can try replacing the sender and see first. any parts store will stock this switch for you.
