Ram 1500 hemi 5.7 quad cab 4x4: heavy blue smoke at startup

Customer Question

heavy blue smoke at startup when at normal temp everything is ok

If you see blue smoke at start-up, I'd say your valve seals are bad and will need to be replaced.. When the engine is off the oil on the valve stem will run down the valve and get into the combustion chamber and it will burn it out on startup.. The fix it a valvejob or at least replace the valve stems.. I hope this helps,Brad
