2500 ram: I have a 2004 2500 ram and every time I make a turn

Customer Question

I have a 2004 2500 ram and every time I make a turn left or right the rear end feels like it is locking up. It even does it when I start to move forward or backing up! What could it be?

It could be the clutches in your differential. Have you tried jacking it up and see if you can spin each wheel?

the dealer clams that there no clutches in it but has gears

The VIN comes back on a 2004 Black Ram with limited slip differentail.. So yes you have Trac-Loc which is positive traction. If it's binding up I would remove the cover and inspect for damage..
