Ram 2500: 1998 ram 2500 5.9L gas. Cranks but no start. Pulled

Customer Question

1998 ram 2500 5.9L gas. Cranks but no start. Pulled in parking lot and died when put in park. Spark is from coil to dist. and to the plugs. Fuel bars are full of pressure. Have change distributor and rotor and crank shaft position sensor. could it be a cam sensor under distributor? what else can I check

see if the engine starts up for a few seconds using starting fluid.

it does not start with starter fluid or putting gas directly into the throttle body

Ok, sorry I was away.
So, you have spark and it won't start with starting fluid. Either the spark plugs are fouled, so remove them and smell them for gas, the ignition timing is off or perhaps even the timing chain/belt jumped.
