Resolved Question:

2002 dodge intrepid will not shift out of first gear.code p0732[gear 2 incorrect ratio] when i accelerate to 30 mph the rpms ramp up like its in neutral and wont move any more and when it finally comes to a complete stop it wont move at all but it will go in reverse just fine and keep going.then when i shift out of reverse aND BACK INTO DRIVE IT WILL GO FORWARD AGIAN BUT THEN DO THE SAME AT 30 MPH

THis problem is usually caused by a bad sensor. Either the transmission input shaft or output shaft may be bad causing your problem. In my experience, 9 times out of 10 one one or both of these sensors will fix this problem. If not, it will be an internal transmission failure.


I would start by ohming both of these sensors out. If they ohm out above 800 ohms, replace the sensor.
