Dtc code p2096 and p0420 pending

dtc code p2096 and p0420 pending. have changed 02 front and rear bank 1. still throws these i need to change the cat?could 87 octane fuel cause the cat to malfunction
If you have changed the O2 sensors both front and rear then yes it is possible you will need to change the CAT . Have you checked the O2 sensors with a scan tool to see if they are working?Code P0420 is for bank 1 I dont see a code P2096 in the manufactures list so I'm not sure what this code is.How many miles do you have on your car? If it is under 80,000 miles then the cat is covered under emission warranty.Please let me know if this has helped.Thanks,Don
