Dodge Ram 2500: I fix a po 734 Code Problem..Diesel Truck

Customer Question

How do I fix a PO 734 Code Problem in my Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel Truck Transmission?

P0734 is ''gear ratio error in 4th''; this is due to tranny slipping. If this is the only code, then your problem is limited to 4th gear. Even so, the tranny will have to come out and apart, to fix this problem. ( make sure you check you fluid level; there is a slim chance you could get this code from a low fluid level condition.

I was also getting an error code of PO 700 that I assumed was caused by the first code.

yes P0700 is a code in the PCM, telling you their are tranny codes present
