1999 dodge caravan: intake air temp sensor located..3.3l vin r..inlet

This answer was rated:

where is intake air temp sensor located in 1999 dodge caravan 3.3l vin r?have checked airbox and inlet tube no luck ....Help

Your Haynes book is correct. There is no IAT sensor on the 3.0, 3.3, or 3.8L engines. I couldnt tell you why advance auto would sell you an IAT sensor and say it is for your 3.3L engine, other than either their parts computer is wrong, or the parts counterperson looked it up wrong. But again, there is no IAT sensor on your engine.

that makes sense but why am I getting fault code 23 iat voltage too high or low ?

On your engine, this will be a fault with the MAP sensor:

DTC 23 IAT SENSOR (Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor)

This sensor detects the intake air temperature and sends signals to the ECM.The electrical resistance in the thermistor
decreases or increases according to temperature rise and fall.

It is located on the intake manifold(#5 in photo):
