Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

What kind of problems are you having?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
both keyless entry keys have stopped working, bout 7 months apart how can i reset both, i changed batteries in both, no work was done to the car within that time
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 7 years ago.

If the keys stopped working independently of each other then the problem is with the keys themselves.

What normally happens on these is the piece that holds the battery to the circuit board inside the key will break free of the circuit board. These terminals are soldered to the circuit board in three spots, and these joints are all needed for the key to work. Over time they will break free and the key stops working.

Open the keys up and check for breakage of the solder joints. If you find any breakage or cracking then you can remove the batteries and carefully resolder the joints back together and the key should work again.

the breakage was recognized, when the first key stopped months ago, and i resolder still doesnt work does it need to be reprogrammed?

Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 7 years ago.
No, once the keys are programmed to the wireless control module they never lose programming for the life of the vehicle. The only way they would ever be erased is with a dealer scan tool through an erase procedure. If all three solder joints on these terminals are good and the keys still won't work they will need to be replaced.

would the keys not working affect my factory alarm system cuz it also stopped working
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 7 years ago.
If you aren't locking the doors with the key fob then you aren't setting the alarm. Since the key's RKE functions aren't working you can't hit the lock button to arm the system.

but it wasnt working when i had one key working
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 7 years ago.

What is it not doing? If you leave the driver's window down, lock the door with the key fob, watch the security light until it's at a steady slow flash, and then open the door from the inside does the horn honk and light flash?

If not, do the interior lights come on when you open the driver's door?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
nevermind about the alarm thank you for ur replies itll just be cheaper for me to finally install my own keyless entry again thank you
