Hello and welcome back to JustAnswer!

This could be a control head or actuator problem, but it's most likely a broken mode door in the heater box. The doors are made of plastic. The electric actuator engages into the door, and eventually the door can break or strip out in the actuator drive area and allow the actuator to spin freely in the door without moving it to it's selected position.

wear is this door located ive seen the driver /passenger and one by glove box area
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 7 years ago.
The door is inside the heater box, down under the dash. The door that you can see from the glovebox area is the recirculation door that controls the airflow to either inside or outside air. The blend doors, defrost doors, and mode door are concealed in the heater box and can't be seen with the dash in the way.

once i open up the dash were would i locate itis it on left ,right ,or in the center of the box
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 7 years ago.
The mode door is in the center of the heater box. When you remove the dash you will see the dual blend doors at the top of the heater box, below that area in the center is the mode door. To the left/bottom is the floor/defrost door (which can also break).

can i move this door manualy to get it to the defrost and floor mode for now

You would have to access the door. If you gain access to the door and remove the actuator then you most likely turn it to where you want it for a temporary repair until you can have the door replaced.
