1996 dodge ram 1500: V..8 2wd..Mine engaged..freeway..ground curcuit

Customer Question

On a 1996 dodge ram 1500 5.9L V-8 2WD is there a reset button for the auto shut down? Mine engaged after a panic stop on the freeway, there was no impact. Ground curcuit to the fuel pump was cut off. Please let me know, thanks

No, Dodge does not use any kind of a reset.......that's a Ford thing.

Honestly, I gave you enough information so that you could at least guide me in the right direction, like if there was an impact sensor that might have caused the shutdown. You did not seem to want to bother to take the time for anything like that. My decision is take this vehicle to a repair facility. Electrical problems are the most difficult problem to attempt to diagnose over the internet. I'll reserve payment for now and think about it.
