2001 Dodge Grand Caravan: a loss as to how to remove the battery

Resolved Question:

How do I remove and replace the battery on a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan? I can find no visible battery hold-down on the battery, so I am at a loss as to how to remove the battery.

Hello I will help you with your question,

The battery is held at the bottom with a nut and retaining jamb piece at the engine side of the battery at the base. The single post that does not have an arrow in this diagram is the stud for the hold down nut

To replace the battery:

record customer presets

Key off

remove negative cable

remove positive cable

remove hold down nut

remove battery

clean tray

replace battery

install hold down

install positive cable

install negative cable

reset customer presets

Let me know if you have further questions about this

Thank you
