Hello and welcome back to JustAnswer!

What year is your truck?

Is the ABS light on too?

Ok great. This is a problem with the rear speed sensor signal. This sensor is mounted in the top of the rear differential and reads off a tone wheel on the carrier. It's wired to the ABS module and used for ABS, and it's signal is also converter to vehicle speed and sent out to the other modules, the instrument cluster included for the speedometer.

Your problem is most likely going to be with the sensor or the wiring to it. Take a close look at the wiring first. It can get hit by aftermarket custom exhaust, and any road debris. Look for any damage to the wire or any pinholes in the insulation. If there is a pinhole it will let water in and the wire will rot. If you don't see any problems with the wiring the sensor is most likely bad. if you have an ohm meter you can unplug it and check the resistance across the terminals. Most likely you will find it's an open circuit, a bad sensor.
