I accidently put power steering fluid in the transmission reservior. I haven't started the car. What can I do?

Hello! I'm Rixster...

Do you mean you put Transmission fluid in the Power Steering Res.?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
No, I put steering fluid in the transmission hole.

As long as there wasn't a whole lot It shouldn't hurt it!

How on earth did you manage that?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Just grabbed the wrong bottle! I put in about 2/3 cup but I've siphoned about a cup out of the tube. All I really need to know is if it's oKay to run the car a few miles into town to get the transmission kit so I can drain it and replace the filter, etc.

You'll be fine! It won't hurt anything.

Just refill the trans. to its proper level and double check it.

I've done that too (glad it's not just me) hehe!

If you decide you still need to change the fluid don't forget to use the ATF+4 fluid in your Neon.

Thanx! -Rixster
