Hi. The crank sensor on your truck goes into the block behind the starter. You have to remove the starter, and then you can remove the sensor. I would recommend removing the starter and spraying the sensor down with a ton of penetrating oil. They corrode into the block very bad, and are known to break off in the block when you try to take them out.

Thank you...will i need a special tool to remove the starter?

No you don't. The starter has 3 10mm 12 point bolts that hold it on, nothing major. The crank sensor also uses a 10mm bolt. Its a really simple job, except for the possibility of it breaking off.
