Turn the camera on. Press the "Menu/OK" button. Select "Quality", and press right. Here you can set various different resolutions. Just select the one you want, and then press "OK". Page 88 of the manual at the link below has more details on the menu:

This does nothing. I need to go from 14 to 9 pix

I'm sorry, I gave you the wrong steps in the last answer. Those were for a slightly different model.

Press "Menu/OK", and then go to "Image Size", and you can change the resolutions there.

However, this camera doesn't have any options for 9 MegaPixels specifically. Here is a list of the number of MegaPixels you will get from each setting:

L4:3 - 14MP
L3:2 - 12MP
L16:9 - 10MP
M4:3 - 7MP
M3:2 - 6.3MP
ML16:9 - 5.3MP
S4:3 - 3.1MP
S3:2 - 2.8MP
SL16:9 - 2MP

So the closest you can get to 9 MP is L 16:9. Is there a specific reason that you need 9MP?

I need to download pictures so when they are viewed and enlarged they are not blurry.

They can be between 3 and 9 pix.

In that case, just set it to M4:3 - 7MP. That will be 7 Megapixels. Let me know if you need any more help with this.
