This is the girl with...

This is the girl with sever melanoma anxiety and ocd.. Would melanoma ever present itself as a pimple on a mole? The mole was fine a few days ago and then all of a sudden developed a tiny pimple that I squeezed and now it’s all inflamed and red. It has been Previously examined under a dermatoscope and my derm has told me multiple times she is not worried even it it grows. But now with all of this coronavirus anxiety my stress is latching onto this tiny pimple that appeared inside my mole.

it original sparked my interest in September (which actually caused my melanoma anxiety to return after 2 years of not worrying) because this mole reveled a small black speck that I noticed in the shower. I scratch it because it looked like dirt or something and it came right off immediately but the scratch left a little scab that looks like a little brown spot. I panicked and went to the dermatologist and immediately after I left the office the scab fell off and the mole has been “normal”ever since. The day before this pimple arrived it looked totally normal in the shower so this was very sudden. There are other skin bumps and pimples in the area as well but they went away already

This does look benign. More of irritation. However, I would advise removal so you will be relieved.

I unfortunately can’t go to the dermatologist because of the outbreak and I have a very very high risk partner (severe asthma, multiple nebulizers a day) so I’m just happy it looks benign. In the past my dermatologist has examined it over and over and has reassure me multiple times it’s just this little pimple threw me off.Also my OCD therapist has me disclaim that I’m not allowed to get any tests done that are medically necessary - if it were up to me I would have every single mole in my body biopsied to me honest

Thank you. I literally worry about every single spot on my body it’s awful.All because of 1 atypical freckle over a decade ago in my teens. Nobody in my sun worshipping family has ever had skin cancer so I have no idea why I’m so fixated on this. My brain tells me atypical means cancer

Even though the last image I sent, the mole it’s quite small in my armpit. It has been examined but when you look closely you see tiny speckles around the edge is this a bad sign? Could the dermatoscope be wrong? It’s about 1.5-2mm

I am currently going down quite the melanoma research rabbit hole and this mole is causing a lot of concern for me. I can’t quite shake it the “globules” are really scaring me since none of my other moles have these little dots

The mole looked to me like it would have the so-called starburst pattern with a dermatoscope. You might call your dermatologist and ask her with she saw that. When we see that pattern it is very re-assuring of a benign mole.

I don’t see any information on it based off of the summary from that visit. I initially went in for another mole and pretty much went down the list of moles I was worried about and she took a quick look and reassure me it’s fine and I was like I’m worried it grew and she still thought it was fine. Am I worrying unnecessarily over this? Google is scaring the life out of me and any pattern like this feels indicative of melanoma.It hasn’t always been here, I think that’s my fear. It’s relatively new within the past 3 years. I am 29 now I discovered it when I was 28 but it may have been there at 27

It unfortunately is not open. Should I be concerned? Does this look like a melanoma at allIs this pattern often mistaken with melanoma?This worry of melanoma ruins every single holiday and I can’t shake it. When I worry like this I usually can be seen within a few days but the pandemic has proven this to be impossible right now which is why I can only as questions on here

This actually is a Globular pattern both looking at it with the naked eye and with the dermatoscope. Note, the globules on the outside. This is a benign pattern.

I would strongly recommend removal. A family doctor can do this too with a simple shave biopsy.

If it is benign why does it need to be removed?Are you concerned or is the strong suggestion be just so I can stop worrying about it and not have to look at it anymore even though it is benignI’m really panicking waiting for the answer

No, a globular pattern is pretty specific for a benign lesion.

No. Moles that look alike are a good sign.

No, that is a normal pattern.

There are dermatoscopic signs of an abnormal reticular pattern.

I have another mole that has caught my attention. I have had it for as long as I can remember. All one color for the most part but the edges are a little jagged with dots. It must have been seen throughout my various visits but my anxiety is at al all time high - on top of all of this fear and OCD.. my grandpa passed away yesterday from the virus at 99. Now there is grief and fear of melanoma which is just crazy. Does this mole look okay?
