Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

How long have you had those and have you seen a doctor about it?

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Happened the day before the photo was taken. Just trying to figure out what caused it.
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

Do those burn or itch?

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Burn
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

OK

That's a pretty severe case of allergic dermatitis--there may not be a trigger for it that we can determine for now

Normally I'd suggest over the counter 1% hydrocortisone cream and Caladryl lotion but in your case it would be better to see your doctor for a course of oral prednisone for this

Please let me know if you need any more information

It's not me its my sons father. He said it was fire but his beard and eyebrows aren't singed. You think that's an alergic reaction?! That's silly.
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

I said an allergic dermatitis--that's not quite the same as an allergic reaction

The other possibility would be ***** ***** syndrome which is usually caused by certain medications

But he needs to have a doctor check this out

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
you are saying it's not a burn or fire related?
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

Was he exposed to a fire?

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
He says so but I'm trying to determine if that's true.
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

If it was a burn it would be a second degree burn

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
I just need to know the cause. Fire yes or no?
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

Yes--fire

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
But without hair burn? Could it be anything else?
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

If it were a flash burn--say from welding--the hair wouldn't be involved

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
not a Christmas tree burning ? As he claims? Or drugs? Or spray paint?
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

Drugs?

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
I'm asking you.
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

Potentially drugs could do this if it's Stevens Johnson syndrome

Not spray paint and not from a burning tree

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Sjs looks like more small blisters all over the body. Or mouth. I was thinking huffing or crack?
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

It might be a chemical burn from an explosion with smoking crack

Ask Your Own Dermatology Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Does that hold in a court of law?
Dermatologist: Dr. Chip, General pratice replied 4 months ago

I'm not sure what you're asking?
