Hey Dr. Chip. Josh here. Looking for some reassurance on a couple of questions about freckles.First question: freckles can be all different shades of brown (light or dark), correct? Please See picture 1. This is a darker freckle on my forearm.Second question: my Dr told me freckles can vary in shading of brown within the same freckle, like light to dark. Please see picture 2. Is this correct?

Hey my friend

Both of those are freckles which are hyperpigmented spots and no kind of cancer whatsoever

They can have various degrees of brown shading even within the same spot

Photos were very clear, neither one of these needs monitoring and you can let it go

One more quick curious follow up. Can freckles even be Nearly black or black?
