Customer Question
I have a friend...

I have a friend in Uzbekistan who is being treated for folliculitis with staphylococcal anatoxin. The only studies I can find on this date back 20 years. Is there any current use in the west?

Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?

See above

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

I believe he was on antibiotics for a long time for this issue.

Staphylococcus is the most common bacteria to cause folliculitis.

It is treated by the antibiotics.

This is not the answer to my question. I already know this. Please respond to my query
Dermatologist: Dr. Arun Phophalia, Cosmetic surgeon replied 7 months ago

I was not clear; do you want to know about staphylococcal antitoxin use in the treatment of folliculitis?

If yes, this is obsolete treatment and nobody uses it.

I would be happy to answer your further query or anything unanswered.

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.

You have been more help than you know. I seriously don't know what my sisters situation would be today if you had not gone above and beyond just answering my questions.
