I have this black spot on the side of my foot for a couple months now but it didn’t hurt and the black spot is starting to hurt really bad to the point where it hurts to walk

Thank you very much for the photo sent.

You have got a severe infection in the foot and hence this needs to be treated.

I would suggest you should clean it with Betadine lotion or scrub.

This should be followed by the application of Mupirocin ointment on the area twice a day for 10 days.

Please make sure you take an anti inflammation medication to reduce the pain like OTC Tylenol or Calpol for 5 days.

The black spot needs to be checked by a dermatoscopy testing to check the texture or minor signs of any changes or dysplasia.
