What are you feeling is the malaria sickness. The muscle vibrations and twitching feeling is probably from hypoglycemia (or low blood sugar) which is a common problem with malaria. It is usually due to the liver being overwhelmed by the infection. The itching is from a by-product of red-cell breakdown which is the primary site for malaria. As the red-cells die because they are infected with malaria, they divide into by-product which are usually broken down by the liver. However, if the liver is also infected, then it can not break down the by-products which results in an itchy feeling. In addition, as the red-cells die, you can also have a feeling of twitching as your become more anemic.
