Customer Question

I developed bumps on my inner thighs last week. Now they seem to appear in patches randomly on my body, especially my underarms. The rash only appears when itchy, then the bumps go away..but contiously reaapear due to itch
JA: How long have you been dealing with this? Does anything in particular seem to make the itch better or worse?
Customer: About a week, nothing makes it better or worse..but seems to be getting worse in terms of itch and amount of bumps
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Nope, I'm super healthy and active, no known allergies

Hello, this is Dr. David. I am reviewing your question now and will be with you momentarily.

Expert:  Dr. David replied 9 months ago.

this could be eczema or a skin fungal infection or dermatitis or allergies or possibly a heat rash

can you upload a clear jpg photo of these bumps and itchy rashes on your skin

do you have any rash or bumps on your skin now?

Expert:  Dr. David replied 9 months ago.

that looks like eczema or reactive skin in the arm fold

you can use baby powder on those skin fold areas to minimize skin irritation

you can also try 1% hydrocortisone cream to decrease itchiness and eczema

Ok, my google searches mention scabies...any chance that's what this is??
Expert:  Dr. David replied 9 months ago.

no, that doesn't look like scabies.

scabies is something you get when you don't shower daily and when you keep a dirty home or if you live on the streets and don't bath

I'm a police officer and often deal with unhegenic people. I keep a clean home and shower daily. Does eczema or reactive skin fold only form bumps when itchy? For the most part the bumps on my body only appear when itchy. I seem to get random itchy patches, the worst is my inner thighs and underarms but also on my back, stomach, elbows and the tops of my fingers(just above and below knuckle). Any thoughts?

This is my belly button

that is not a great photo of the navel.

eczema and reactive skin often form bumps and red skin when the skin is irritated.

you could be having some reaction to starch in your clothing or new detergent.
